Rhinos leave ABA

May 10, 2005 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Arizona Rhinos News Release

After consideration by our ownership group and staff, we have decided to end all ties with the ABA. We are currently pursuing alternative options. We feel as though this decision is in the best interest of, not only, our organization but also our community, partners, potential fans, & team. We are not comfortable with the current direction of the ABA, and do not feel their path is conducive with long term success & stability. We would like to wish the ABA the best of luck this season and we hope they have a successful year. The Arizona Rhinos would like to thank all of our Corporate partners and everyone who has, and will continue to help us. We look forward to great basketball, the future, and long term success.

Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams. For information on professional minor leagues, please see OSC's basketball section.
