Arizona Rhinos News Release
The American Basketball Association's newest franchise, the Arizona Rhinos, released the team's home schedule for the 2008-2009 season during a press conference on Sept. 5 at Tim's Toyota Center (TTC).
The Rhinos, led by Head Coach and former NBA star Orlando Woolridge, will take over TTC on Dec. 5 when they hit the court to take on an opponent to be determined for the first of a five game home stand.
Woolridge said the team is showcasing talent from both the United States and abroad, the Rhinos are going to "bring integrity back to the hardwood" with a fast-paced and exciting brand of basketball the whole family will enjoy.
The 08-09 season includes 15 home games and 15 away, with the last home game on March 5, before playoff rounds begin.
Tip-off time for games at TTC is 7 p.m. and game tickets are available by calling 623-533-1689.
Spellman-White also invited the public to open practice sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the month of September. Practice runs from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Bradshaw Mountain High School's East Campus Gym.
