Friday: El Paso Rhinos 5 @ Amarillo Wranglers 2 - Rhinos head out to Amarillo this weekend as we begin the first of a two game series! Medrick Bolduc starts us off tonight with a goal at 8:21 in the first period to set the Rhinos in the lead. Wranglers answer back just a few minutes later as Topi Puikkonen ties up the game at 1-1 before the period is out. Headed in to the second period the Rhinos hit their stride with three goals from Camden Bajzer, Eddie Shepler, & Mason LeBel. With only one more goal from the Wranglers, Rhinos move to the third period with a 4-2 lead. Frank Tafelski takes our last goal of the day at just 25 seconds in to the third period and with no further scoring Rhinos take the win 5-2.
Saturday: El Paso Rhinos 2 @ Amarillo Wranglers 3 - Eddie Shepler hits the ground running tonight and puts the Rhinos first on the board with the only goal of the first period. Wranglers come back in the second with two goals, stealing the lead temporarily as the competition heats up. Mason Lebel ties up the game once more with just under two minutes to go in the second. With neither team unable to break the stalemate this period we move on to the third period. Ultimately it would be the Wranglers' Puikkonen to steal the win. Wranglers take Game #2 with a 3-2 victory, splitting the series with the Rhinos.
