EDINBURG, Texas - USL Championship member Rio Grande Valley FC will face MLS side Houston Dynamo in the Third Round of the 2022 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup following the announcement of the official draw on Friday, April 8 by U.S. Soccer. The matchup is set to take place at PNC Stadium with the official date and kickoff time pending.
The Grande Debut:
RGV FC made their franchise debut on April 6 in the Lamar Hunt U.S Open Cup, which plays its 107th edition this year. The Toros found new wind in the second half of the second-round road matchup against USL League One club, North Carolina FC to cruise to a comeback victory 1-2 at WakeMed Soccer Park.
