Rio Grande Valley FC Toros News Release

IRVINE, California - Rio Grande Valley FC (2-5-5) fell to Orange County SC (3-7-4). Milan Iloski scored a lone goal and dished an assist to lift his home side to victory over RGV FC.

Milan Iloski took advantage of a fielding mistake by Wahab Ackwei who tripped himself up on the pitch in the midfield sector. Iloski dribbled through and into the box to place a ground ball past a closing Carlos Merancio who was left in no-man's land on the defensive error, 1-0 just four minutes into the match, to mark Orange County SC's fastest goal scored of the 2023 campaign.

Orange County extended their lead on an open play cross from the right side of goal; Osundina tapped the ball into the net to make it 2-0 at the 17-minute mark. Milan Iloski was credited with the assist, from the crossing ball into the box on the play.

The home side went into the break leading comfortably behind two goals, on four shots attempted; Rio Grande managed two shots in the half, one on target, which was handled without caution by Colin Shutler.

The second half did not create many true danger opportunities for either side as Orange County locked in the home win, forcing Rio Grande Valley into their third straight loss in league action; the loss marked the third straight match being shutout for RGV FC.

Next up for the Toros is a meeting with Miami FC at home on June 10, kickoff starting at 7:06pm.
