
RGV FC Announces 2021 Preseason Schedule

Rio Grande Valley FC Toros News Release
EDINBURG, Texas - Rio Grande Valley FC announced today its preseason schedule. The Toros will play a total of three matches as they build up to their 2021 USL Championship campaign.
The Toros will open their preseason with a matchup at Austin Bold FC on Friday, April 9, and then two days later will square off with 2021 Major League Soccer expansion side Austin FC on Sunday, April 11.
RGV FC will then visit South Texas Derby rival San Antonio FC at Toyota Field on Saturday, April 24 to wrap up the club's preparations. All preseason matchups are closed to the public.
The Toros will kick off their sixth season in the USL Championship with the return of the club's first-ever Head Coach, Wilmer Cabrera, as he takes the reins as Head Coach and Sporting Director for the 2021 campaign. Cabrera's return to the club also marks a new era in which the Toros will control all aspects of its organization, on and off the field, while maintaining the club's partnership with Houston Dynamo FC.

The 2021 USL Championship season schedule announcement will be announced at a later date. Teams are split into four divisions that contain a 32-game slate running through the end of October with playoffs scheduled for November.
