EDINBURG, Texas - Rio Grande Valley FC today announced the acquisition of forward Cole Frame on loan from USL League One club North Carolina FC for the remainder of the 2023 USL Championship season. The transaction is pending league and federation approval.

"Cole is a talented young player that comes from USL League One with great experience," said Toros Sporting Director Wilmer Cabrera. "He is a high energy player who is eager to play with us."

Frame is set to make his USL Championship debut with the Toros having spent the past two-and-a-half seasons in League One with North Carolina. A product of the club's Academy, Frame joined NCFC's First Team as a USL Academy signing prior to the 2021 season before signing professionally with the club in September that year.

The 20-year-old has logged three goals and one assist in 42 appearances across all competitions for North Carolina. He appeared for the side when it squared off against RGV FC in the Second Round of the 2022 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup campaign, a game in which the Toros took a 2-1 win on the road to claim their first win in the historic tournament.
