RGV Acquires Terrance Ferguson to Roster

EDINBURG, Texas - The Rio Grande Valley Vipers announced today that the team acquired guard Terrance Ferguson off waivers.
During the 2021-22 season Ferguson (6-7, 190) spent his time overseas with the Greek team, GS Lavrio, where he played in three games.
Ferguson has over 200 NBA games under his belt. Most recently, he spent the 2020-21 season with the Philadelphia Sixers and appeared in a total of 13 games. In 2019, he played in the NBA Summer League under Oklahoma City Thunder. He scored seven points and averaged 2.8 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.0 steals.
The Oklahoma native was drafted in the first round of the 2017 NBA Draft by the Thunder, spending three seasons with OKC. He appeared in 191 games and averaged 4.8 points and 1.4 rebounds. During the 2017-18 campaign, Ferguson spent his time with the Thunder's NBA G League affiliate, Oklahoma City Blue on assignment where he played in three games, averaging 14.7, 4.0 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 1.3 steals.
Prior to his time with the Thunder, Ferguson played with the Australian NBL team, the Adelaide 36ers in 30 games during the 2016-17 season where he averaged 4.6 points and 1.1 rebounds.
The Vipers will head on a three-game road trip starting on Thursday, Jan. 13 against the South Bay Lakers at 9:00 p.m. CT at UCLA Health Training Center.
