Reyes sent to Myrtle Beach and Demme Activated

Rome, GA - The second half of the South Atlantic League season begins tonight at State Mutual Stadium when Rome takes on the Charleston RiverDogs in a four game series. The Braves won the first half Southern Division Championship.

Roster Moves: Pitcher Jo Jo Reyes has been sent to Myrtle Beach of the Carolina League and pitcher Asher Demme has been activated from the disabled list. Reyes was having a fine first half of the season earning All-Star honors including serving as the starting pitcher in last Tuesday's game in East Lake, Ohio. Jo Jo was 8-1 with a 2.99 ERA in 13 appearances. He struck out 84 while walking just 25 during that stretch. Asher Demme rejoins the club from the disabled list and was having a good season as well at 2-2 with a 2.45 ERA. He is schedule to pitch in tomorrow night's game against Charleston.

Friday - "Whistle Blowing" Guinness Book Of World Records Attempt. Braves fans will attempt to set a record for the largest crowd blowing whistles simultaneously. It's the first such try in Rome, GA.

Saturday - Brian McCann Bobble Head Dolls giveaway to first 1000 fans with paid admission.

Sunday - 2pm Game.
