
Revolution Opens the Series with a Win over Patriots

Bridgewater, New Jersey - The York Revolution (3-1, 37-36) defeated the Somerset Patriots (2-2, 44-30) 6-3 at TD Bank Ballpark on Monday evening.
York opened the scoring in the top of the second inning on a solo home run from Isaias Tejeda (7) down the left-field line. The Revolution added two more in the third inning on Henry Castillo's (9) two-run shot to right field that made the score 3-0.
Three more runs for the Revolution scored in the fifth inning for a 6-0 advantage. Telvin Nash (23) hit a two-run home run to center field before Tejeda (8), the next batter, hit a solo homer to left for his second long ball of the game.
The Patriots got on the board in the home half of the frame on an RBI groundout from Michael Ohlman and an RBI single from Edwin Espinal that made the score 6-2.
Justin Pacchioli came around to score from second on a throwing error in the bottom of the seventh inning to cut the lead in half.
Corey Walter (3-3) picked up the win, allowing two unearned runs on five hits in five innings pitched. Ryan Kussmaul (2-3) suffered the loss, allowing six runs on eight hits in 6.1 innings pitched.
The 2019 Somerset Patriots Season presented by Ford will continue at home with a 7:05 pm game against the York Revolution on Tuesday, July 16th. The game will feature Drawstring Bags for the first 1,000 fans in attendance, presented by the Sarcoma Foundation of America.
