Hewerton Moreira scored five goals to lead the Chicago Mustangs to a 16-2 win over the Tulsa Revolution at the Sears Centre, in Hoffman Estates, Illinois, Saturday night in Major Arena Soccer League action.
Chicago (6-4) opened the scoring with three straight goals in the first quarter, including a pair by Moreira. With 16 seconds remaining in the first, Tulsa (1-8) got on the scoreboard with a goal by Lucas Almeida.
The Mustangs scored five times in the second quarter, and Tulsa got a lone goal by Michael Poneys. Chicago led 8-2 at halftime.
Moreira scored his third and fourth goals of the game in the third quarter and the Mustangs extended their lead; 12-2 after three quarters of play.
In the fourth quarter, the Mustangs didn't let up as Moreira scored his fifth of the game, along with Guilherme Veiga picking up his second of the night, and Alexis Camarena scored two in the fourth to put a stamp on the victory.
The Revolution will be on the road again next weekend as they visit the Missouri Comets, Saturday, Jan. 10 at 7:05 p.m. You can watch the live stream of the game at GoLiveSportscast.com.
