FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - New England Revolution II have signed defender Hesron Barry to an MLS NEXT Pro professional contract for the 2024 season. Barry, 24, joins Revolution II ahead of the team's 12-day preseason trip to IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla. from Feb. 6 to Feb. 18.
Barry signs with New England after a two-year tenure at University of Wisconsin- Green Bay, where the defender logged over 2,500 minutes played in 30 appearances from 2022-2023. The two-time Horizon League Defensive Player of the Year has also earned All-League First Team, United Soccer Coaches Association All-Region First Team, and Academic All-Horizon honors. The Ocho Rios, Jamaica native helped guide his team to a conference championship and an NCAA tournament appearance in 2023, after beginning his collegiate career at Barton Community College and California State University, Bakersfield.
Revolution II continues its preseason training in Foxborough for the remainder of the week before traveling to Bradenton next Tuesday. The 2024 MLS NEXT Pro regular season schedule will be announced soon.
