New England Revolution II Head Coach Clint Peay
On his assessment of the game:
Peay: "I thought the guys played fairly well. They defended well for the most part in dangerous, in-transition moments, but I think we could have taken care of the ball a little bit better in the second half and gotten the second goal if we did. Unfortunate to give a penalty away, probably a little bit questionable, but you just got to live with those calls."
On Marcos Dias' goal:
Peay: "Yeah, again, I thought the guys defended well, won some good balls in the midfield. We were transitioning. Marcos [Dias], obviously a very clever player, picks his head up and bent it to the back post, something that he works on a lot in training, and he just took it well. It was an incredible shot."
On Esmir Bajraktarevic's development this season:
Peay: "I this he's a player who's still young and still growing, trying to find his way in terms of being a more effective attacking player, but I thought tonight he had a good performance on both sides of the ball and probably was closer than he's been in a while in terms of creating a chance and scoring a goal."
New England Revolution II Forward Marcos Dias
*Translated from Portuguese*
On taking the team lead in goals scored:
Dias: "I'm very happy to be able to help the team scoring goals. It's not easy to adapt the in another country since the style of play is different, but with the help of my teammates I've been adapting very well. I hope to continue evolving and scoring more goals."
On Michel connecting with him for the assist:
Dias: "Michel and I have a very good friendship off the field. I believe that helps a lot when we are playing."
