Revised 2012 Tornadoes Schedule Released

The Revised 2012 Worcester Tornadoes Schedule was released today, with quite a few changes. The Central Mass. Local Nine will square off against six new opponents from the American Association, plus four from the CanAm League.
Opening Day at Hanover Insurance Park at Fitton Field is on Monday, May 21 against the three-time defending champion Quebec Capitales. The series will feature a split-admission doubleheader on Tuesday, May 22, with 11:05 AM and 7:05 PM start times respectively. The Tornadoes open the season on Thursday, May 17 at the Newark Bears.
The first weekend home series for the Tornadoes starts on Friday, June 1 against the New Jersey Jackals.
There will be five morning games (Wednesday, May 30, Thursday, May 31, Thursday, June 14 and Wednesday, July 18 plus the previously-mentioned game) and a mid-week 1:05 PM start on Wednesday, June 27.
The Worcester club will spend 11 straight games in Texas to take on the Laredo Lemurs, Amarillo Sox and El Paso Diablos from June 29 through July 10. The first American Association team the Tornadoes face at home is the Grand Prairie AirHogs, who'll be at the HIP from Monday, June 25 through Wednesday the 27th. The Gary South Shore RailCats come to town on Thursday, July 12 for a four-game stint, and the Kansas City T-Bones visit from Thursday, August 9 through Saturday the 11th.
