Reserved Seats for Strikers' Home Opener Sold Out; Only GA Tickets Remain

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (April 5, 2013) - Fort Lauderdale Strikers officials have announced that all reserved grandstand seats have been sold for 2013 Opening Kick at historic Lockhart Stadium on Saturday, April 6, at 7:30pm between the Strikers and FC Edmonton. The final reserved seating area tickets were sold on Thursday afternoon through the team's website, Strikers.com.

There are still general admission tickets remaining for the game. Fans can choose the East General Admission area, home to the cheering Strikers' supporters groups, or the West General Admission area with tickets for these sections going fast as well. General admission tickets are priced at $12 in advance. They are available from www.strikers.com or by calling the Strikers Ticket Office at (954) 606-0400.

"This great news is a credit to the entire South Florida soccer community who supports the Strikers," said team president Tom Mulroy. "I also want to acknowledge our staff who has been working tirelessly this entire off-season to connect with our fans all around South Florida."

On Saturday night, the Strikers will honor coaches and captains as part of South Florida Soccer Team Leaders Night. More than 1,000 soccer coaches and captains, representing more than 100 clubs, will participate in the event. Many of the players and coaches will take to the historic Lockhart field at halftime to be recognized for their contributions to soccer in South Florida.
