Republic FC and Medic Ambulance Celebrate Multi-Year Partnership Extension with Fan Activations and Special Moments on April 13
April 10, 2024 - United Soccer League Championship (USL)
Sacramento Republic FC News Release
Medic Ambulance is back as an Indomitable Partner, providing Emergency Medical Services on gameday and empowering fans, players, and community members to be more prepared when faced with medical emergencies. Medic has extended its partnership with Republic FC through the 2026 season, building on the relationship the two have fostered since 2020.
Through the partnership agreement, Medic will serve as the presenting partner of in-game player substitutions, in addition to providing an annual youth soccer clinic for underserved youth and CPR training for Republic FC's first team.
Medic will also be the presenting partner of one home match each season - including this Saturday's contest against FC Tulsa. The match will serve as a platform to honor and celebrate some of the region's outstanding Paramedics and EMTs with on-field presentations, including Captain of the Match.
Out in the Fan Zone, Medic will be providing free hands-only CPR training for guests, driving Republic FC's mission to make Heart Health Park a hub for community wellness and health education. By being educated in hand-only CPR, fans will leave the match equipped to provide immediate intervention for anyone experiencing cardiac arrest.
According to the American Heart Association, when a person has a cardiac arrest, survival depends on immediately receiving CPR from someone nearby, yet only about 40% of people who experience out-of-hospital cardiac arrest receive the immediate help they need before professional help arrives. Hands-only CPR has been shown to be as effective in the first few minutes as conventional CPR for cardiac arrest at home, at work, or in public, providing enough blood flow until emergency medical services can assist. You can learn more about hands-only CPR at CPR.Heart.Org.
The first 2,500 fans to arrive at Saturday's match will also receive a free Republic FC x Medic Ambulance co-branded travel first aid kit to use on the go.
Medic Ambulance is a family business with strong ties to the community since 1979, supporting the region in a variety ways, including offering ambulance stand-by services for special events - such as Republic FC matches. The company maintains a standard of excellence in everything from response times, to fleet maintenance, to operations, employing the latest technology to give patients the best care possible.
