
Reno Bighorns' Comeback Comes up Short against Santa Cruz

Reno, NV - The Reno Bighorns fourth quarter comeback against the Santa Cruz Warriors fell short Friday night, with the Bighorns losing 99-95 at the Reno Events Center.
The first quarter was close throughout, with several ties and lead changes throughout. The Bighorns biggest lead of the quarter was 9 points. Mo Charlo had 6 points for the first 12 minutes.
The Warriors went on a 7-0 run (9:42-7:49) to start off the quarter and give them the lead. The Bighorns were not able to come back in the second quarter and went into halftime trailing 53-44. Lance Goulbourne scored 8 points and Maurice Baker added 7 in the second quarter alone.
Reno came back in the third quarter and only trailed by 8 points going into the fourth quarter. Reno hit four 3-pointers in the third quarter, three of which were from Walker Russell who ended the quarter with 11 points.
The Bighorns tried to mount a comeback in the fourth quarter, but came up short.
Mo Charlo ended with a double double, 14 points and 10 rebounds. DeQuan Jones had a team-high 20 points. Also in double figures were: Walker Russell, Jr. (17) and Bryan Davis (11 points).
The Warriors were led by Cameron Jones with 26 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists. Joe Alexander and Lance Goulbourne each added 12 points. On assignment from Golden State, Ognjen Kuzmic had 10 rebounds.
