Today's Game: The Aces roll into Cinco De Mayo with a three-game winning streak and three consecutive victories from Greater Nevada Field. Albert Suarez will get the start tonight for Reno, his first since April 8 against Fresno. Reno welcomed back the reigning PCL MVP Christian Walker last night and Southern League MVP Kevin Cron.

About Last Night: The Reno Aces returned home to a crowd of 5,396 at Greater Nevada Field on Friday night against the Tacoma Rainiers. Jake Buchanan got the nod for manager Greg Gross and did not disappoint. The right-hander tossed seven innings of one-run baseball en route to his first win of the season. A 10-run offensive showing from the Aces was too much for Tacoma to bear. The 10-1 Aces win in their third consecutive victory and third straight at home.

Transaction News: Kris Medlen had his contract purchased by the Arizona Diamondbacks yesterday afternoon and made his organization debut. The veteran right-hander went 4.0 innings, allowed 7 runs and earned the loss. In corresponding moves, Christian Walker, Kevin Cron and Bradin Hagens were added to the Aces roster and Josh Prince was transferred to Double-A Jackson. Both Walker and Cron took home Most Valuable Player awards in 2017. Walker was the Pacific Coast League MVP and Corn was the Southern League MVP.

Welcome Back: Evan Marzilli returned off the Disabled List on April 28th and has been white-hot ever since. In his first five games, the 27-year-old is 9-for-19 (.474) with a home run, six RBI, three walks and a stolen base. Last night, Marzilli finished 2-for-4 with three RBI and a stolen base.

Crony: Kevin Cron played his first regular season contest as a member of the Aces last night against Tacoma. Finishing with two doubles, Cron now has 109 in his career. Last season with Double-A Jackson, Cron finished with a career-high 35 doubles and has had 20 or more in three consecutive seasons.

History Made: The Reno Aces Baseball Club has named Emily Jaenson General manager, the team announced today. Jaenson is the second person to hold the role of General Manager for the Aces, and the first female GM in the Pacific Coast League in nearly two decades. Jaenson will assume day-to-day baseball and business operations and report to team President, Eric Edelstein.
