Reno 1868 FC News Release

Reno, Nev. - On Saturday, Reno 1868 FC will travel to Fresno for the team's first road game of the 2019 season.

Reno is off to its best start in club history with four points in its first two games. After earning the earliest point in franchise history in the season opener against Orange County SC, Reno took a 2-1 win over USL Championship newcomer Austin Bold FC with the help of a brace by Brian Brown. Saturday's match will be Fresno's first at home and Reno's first on the road.

Fresno FC is also off to a successful start to the 2019 season. The club earned one point after a draw with New Mexico in its season opener and then went on to defeat RGV FC Toros 2-0 with a brace by forward Arun Basuljevic.

After drawing 1-1 in both matchups of the 2018 season, the boys in blue are looking to finally come out on top over the Foxes and continue their two-game undefeated run.

"I'm looking forward to the Fresno game," head coach Ian Russell said Friday. "It's a good team with some experienced players. They have some decent pace in some areas of the pitch and we are looking forward to our first road game."

Saturday's match will kick-off at 7:30 p.m. PT at Chukchansi Park. The match can be streamed on ESPN+.
