Rome Renegades News Release

ROME, Ga. - The Rome Renegades will host the Lakeland Thunderbolts in the first round of the NIFL playoffs on Sunday, July 10 at The Forum. Due to NIFL rulings, the Rome Renegades are the number four seed in the league, which means Rome will host Lakeland.

Lakeland's first visit to Rome on May 20 ended with a Renegades loss and a final score of 31 to 23. Not to be deceived by their 6 and 8 record, Lakeland has had quite a come back in the second half of their regular season. "Lakeland is an extremely talented team looking for a second win in Rome," said head coach David Humphreys. "They understand winning, and they are extremely dangerous. We will need to play our very best."

With this being the first playoff appearance for both teams, Sunday's match-up is sure to be an action packed, hard hitting ball game. The Renegades inaugural season has continually had a great fan following, and the post season is sure to be the same. Rome is anticipating yet another sell out for this playoff game.

Playoff tickets are on sale now at The Forum box office. Prices range from $10 to $30 based on seat location. Also with the purchase of an adult ticket, one child under twelve can get in for just $5. Box office hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Tickets can also be purchased over the phone by calling (706) 291-5281.
