
Renegades President to Appear on ESPN

Fishkill, NY --- Mike Veeck, president of the Hudson Valley Renegades, will be appearing on ESPN this Thursday, April 8th from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. on the program "Break Up The Bombers: The Yankees On Trial."
Veeck is scheduled to "testify" along with Yankees fan/actor Billy Crystal; former Yankees pitcher and "Ball Four" author Jim Bouton; and Oakland A's general manager Billy Beane. The ESPN program will be a mock trial, which will look at whether a system that allows the Yankees to outspend their opponents is good for baseball.
Court TV's Catherine Crier will preside over the three-hour trial before a live audience in a New Jersey courtroom. Harvard Law School professor Alan Dershowitz will serve as the prosecutor, while Bruce Cutler, who represented John Gotti in three federal trials, will defend the Yankees.

The Renegades Tenth Anniversary Season is slated to begin Friday June 18, 2004 at the New Jersey Cardinals.
