Hudson Valley Renegades News Release

FISHKILL, NY (July 9, 2007) - The Oneonta Tigers salvaged the final game of a three game series against the Hudson Valley Renegades today, exiting Dutchess Stadium with a 6-2 victory.

The Renegades lineup, coming off last night's exhilarating 9th inning comeback, returned today in anticlimactic fashion, managing to score only two runs off six hits during the rare midday start.

In scorching 95-degree heat, 4510 fans, many of who were from local summer camps, feverishly attempted to keep cool. Happily obliging was the Renegades staff, which over the course of the 2 hour, 40 minute contest, squirted, sprayed and dumped refreshing water on the willing Hudson Valley faithful.

In the loss, Hudson Valley outfielder Maiko Loyola managed to knock in a pair of runs. With his 8th inning triple, right down the first base bag, Loyola's batting average moves to .341.

The Renegades will now travel to Jamestown and Williamsport, for a two city, six game road trip, and will return on July 17, to face the State College Spikes.
