Renegades and Blue Rocks Split Doubleheader

WILMINGTON, DE - The Hudson Valley Renegades and Wilmington Blue Rocks played for the first time since Wednesday night and each team picked up a victory on Saturday
The Renegades won game one, 4-0 as Ken Waldichuk and Zach Greene combined on a four-hit shutout. Oswald Peraza went 2-4 with two runs batted in. Josh Breaux and James Nelson added RBIs for Hudson Valley.
Waldichuk (1-0) earned his first decision of the season, walking two and striking out seven over six innings. The lefthander, who has not allowed a run in 24.2 innings this season, gave up just three hits.
The Blue Rocks won the nightcap, 7-5. Wilmington struck for one in the second to tie the game and four in the third to take control. The Renegades climbed back into the contest with three in the fourth, including a double from Eric Wagaman. The first baseman added a triple in the first as he continues to have a good road trip, batting .583 (7-for-15) three doubles, a triple, and a home run.
The Rocks put two on the board in the sixth, while an Ezequiel Duran home run in the seventh closed out the scoring.
The Renegades and Blue Rocks finish the series on Sunday before Hudson Valley heads to Brooklyn.
