REDWOLVES ANNOUNCE ASSISTANT COACH

The RedWolves and Coach Barkdoll have added to the coaching staff for 2012 and are pleased to announce another former RedWolves player will be one of the assistant coaches this summer. Trent Ashcraft, who was on the 2006 roster with Barkdoll, will be coming back to Florence as the hitting coach for the 2012 team. He is currently an assistant with Young Harris College, where he played when he was with the RedWolves, after Young Harris, Ashcraft played at East Carolina University. Ashcraft led the RedWolves in hitting and was 6th overall in the league with a .340 average. He was 3rd in the league in hits with 65 and was a League All Star. In 49 games played he was also 20-26 in stolen bases. "We are very excited to have another former player who is now coaching come back to be a part of the team again." "Trent was a very solid player for us and if not for a severe hip injury while at ECU, we believe would still be playing minor league ball working his way up through the ranks." "Plus with him already be aware of how our organization operates and what our ultimate goal is, we think Trent will be a great fit to coach and motivate this year's roster." Jamie Young, GM

REDWOLVES TO LAUNCH NEW WEBSITE

Starting Monday February 20th, www.florenceredwolves.com will have a new look. The RedWolves invite you to go check out the new site and check out all the new bells and whistles. "We have looked at ways to improve the website communication to our fans and think we have put together a site that will provide more information and answer more questions that the fans may have. The site will also contain features where fans can sign up for a RedWolves email news letter, they can comment on stories posted on the site and have easier link access to our sponsors and league information." " The site will also be easier for us to maintain and put more information than we could before. We also plan in the near future to add features that will allow or fans to buy merchandise and tickets online. We should have that in place in the coming weeks." "The RedWolves hope that our fans enjoy the new site and will let us know their thoughts and ideas once they have had a chance to check it out." Jamie Young, GM
