The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks and WDAY AM 970 have agreed to a new three-year contract to keep the team's broadcast rights with WDAY, the organizations announced today. WDAY will now be the broadcast home of the RedHawks through the 2006 Northern League season.
WDAY AM 970 will broadcast all 96 Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks regular season games, as well as select exhibition games and all possible playoff games. In addition, every RedHawks game will be broadcast live on-line at www.in-forum.com and www.fmredhawks.com.
"The RedHawks are excited about the new three-year contract with WDAY AM 970," said RedHawks President Bruce Thom. "This agreement will continue to provide RedHawks fans with quality broadcasting and streaming over the internet for our fans outside the Fargo-Moorhead area."
"We have been delighted to bring the RedHawks via AM 970 to an ever-growing audience in an expanded listening area," said WDAY AM 970 General Manager Scott Hennen. "We're excited to have inked another three years of RedHawks baseball, both home and away, on WDAY AM 970."
WDAY became the "Voice of the RedHawks" in 2002, originally signing a two-year deal for the broadcast rights.
