RH Tanner Scheppers (1-0, 3.46) vs. RH Casey Coleman (8-7, 4.09)

TONIGHT: The Oklahoma City RedHawks return to the field after the All-Star break to host the Iowa Cubs in the first of a 4-game series and homestand. The teams are beginning a stretch of 9 straight games against each other, as they'll continue the series on Monday in Des Moines. The Iowa portion of this stretch spans 5 games in 4 days, lengthened by a doubleheader July 20 to make up for a May 10 postponement at Principal Park. Tanner Scheppers, fresh off an appearance in Sunday's Futures Game in Anaheim, gets the start for the RedHawks. He has not faced Iowa. Casey Coleman gets the start for Iowa, his second of the season against OKC.

HAWKS HIT BREAK WITH HIGHS: OKC's 15-2 win on Sunday at Round Rock in the final game before the break set the team's season high for runs in a game. The 17 hits matched the third most in a game by the RedHawks this year. The 49-39 record matches a season-best 10 games over .500. The other times at 10 over were 48-38 and 38-28. The RedHawks homered twice on Sunday (Hernan Iribarren and Mitch Moreland). OKC has homered in 8 straight games.

BOBBY JONES IS BACK: RedHawks manager Bobby Jones is back after missing the series at Round Rock following the passing of his mother. Hitting coach Scott Coolbaugh skippered the team during Jones' absence, which marked Coolbaugh's second stint as interim manager this season. He also ran the team during a series against Albuquerque last month during Jones' annual, team-mandated 4-game vacation. The RedHawks went 5-3 under Coolbaugh.

NOTABLE NUMBERS: The RedHawks lead the PCL in team ERA at 3.60. OKC has allowed the fewest home runs in either Triple-A League (48), and remains the only team in the PCL or IL to have not allowed a 3-homer game. The RedHawks have allowed the PCL's fewest runs (368) and earned runs (313) while owning the best run differential in the league at +99.

EARLY RUNS: OKC had allowed the first run in 5 straight games prior to a 7-run first inning in Sunday's 15-2 win at Round Rock. The 7-run first matched the second-highest run total in an inning by OKC this year, trailing only an 8-run 12th in Omaha June 6. The RedHawks are 26-12 when scoring first and 23-27 when allowing the first run. OKC has out-scored the opposition 57-35 in the first inning this season.

ERROR-FREE SUNDAY: The RedHawks played errorless baseball on Sunday. An error-free game tonight would mark the RedHawks' first set of consecutive errorless games since a doubleheader sweep of New Orleans on June 16. In the past 23 games, the RedHawks have made 26 errors and allowed 20 unearned runs. The RedHawks are 12-11 in that span.

GOOD RETURNS: Craig Gentry and Matt Brown have returned this month from DL stints to positive offense results. Gentry, activated from the DL July 7 after sustaining sprained MCL in his left knee, is 11-for-26 with 1 homer and 3 RBIs in 5 starts and 6 total games since returning. Brown returned from the DL July 1 and is 16-for-44 (.364) including a homer and 2 RBIs, hitting safely in 9 of 10 games.

SCHEPPERS' FUTURE: OKC righthander Tanner Scheppers pitched a scoreless 2/3 of an inning in Sunday's XM All-Star Futures game at Angels Stadium. Scheppers recorded the final 2 outs in the U.S. team's 9-1 win over top prospects born outside the United States. After allowing a single by Eury Perez, Scheppers retired Chun-Hsiu Chen on a lineout, walked Gorkys Hernandez and induced a fly out by Luis Jimenez to end the game.

MORELAND UPDATE: Right fielder Mitch Moreland leads the PCL with 11 outfield assists. He also has a 24-game on-base streak that began with the second game of a doubleheader June 16. During the streak, Moreland is batting .348 (31-for-89) with 5 homers and 18 RBIs. His streak is the second-longest active on-base streak in the league behind a 28-gamer for Las Vegas catcher J.P. Arencibia.
