Oklahoma City pitcher Tommy Hunter silenced the New Orleans bats through his seven innings of work, and Royce Huffman went 2-for-3 with a home run and two RBI to give the RedHawks a 6-4 victory over the Zephyrs Friday night.

Hunter (2-2) was effective all night; scattering seven hits and striking out six before being relieved by Brian Gordon in the eighth inning. The only runs Hunter gave up came off of back-to-back solo homers by John Lindsey and Michael Ryan in the bottom of the second inning.

Jai Miller was 3-for-4 with a run scored and John Lindsey was 2-for-4 with a homer to lead the way for the Zephyrs, who out hit the RedHawks for the second game in a row.

New Orleans starter John Koronka (3-3) had his second-straight rough outing for the Z's. Koronka allowed five runs on five hits in only three innings. After setting the RedHawks down in order in the first inning, Koronka gave up two solo homers in the second, and three more runs in the third before being pulled by Zephyr Manager Edwin Rodriguez.

Tempers flared and the benches cleared in the top of the third inning after John Koronka hit Kevin Richardson. Both teams were warned following the incident, but no players or coaches were ejected.

The Zephyrs attempted to put together a comeback rally in the bottom of the ninth by scoring two runs, but with two runners on Manny Mayorson lined out to end the game. Game three of the series will continue Saturday night when Willie Collazo (LHP) of the Zephyrs takes on Josh Rupe (RHP), with the first pitch scheduled for 6:00 pm.
