Red Wings Outfielder Brian Dinkelman Re-Signs with Minnesota Twins

ROCHESTER, NY - Red Wings outfielder Brian Dinkelman has signed a minor-league contract with the Minnesota Twins for the 2013 season. The deal includes an invitation to major league spring training.
Dinkelman has spent the last three seasons with the Red Wings, and he made his major league debut with the Twins with 23 games in 2011. The left-handed hitter has appeared in 338 games with the Red Wings from 2010-12, which is more than any other Red Wing in that time. He ranks fifth in games played since the start of the Red Wings' affiliation with the Twins in 2003.
Dinkelman, who was selected by Minnesota in the eighth round of the 2006 draft, batted .252 with four homers and 32 RBI in 74 games in 2012. He missed nearly two months of the season with a sprained right hand.
