Montgomery Bears News Release
Ten more Red Hots were added to the Montgomery Mauler dance team after the second tryout Saturday January 21. That brings to 32 the number of performers that will grace Garrett Coliseum during the Maulers football season.
Nancy Ikehara of Top Dogs Cheerleading and director of the Red Hots dance team said, "We selected ten girls from this tryout from the 21 who attended. Again, this was a high caliber of talent and very competitive. It was not easy for the judges to make the cut." The girls added to the team are Candace Davidson, Megan Brooks, Bridgette Williams, Eboni Sherrer, Krispin Nelson, Anitra Martin, Courtney Melton, Marilyn Sanders, Kiela Dunn and Paisley Vaughn.
Ikehara named Tiffany Robinson as assistant coach of this years dance team. Robinson was a member of the Red Hots last year. She is a graduate of Booker T. Washington Magnet High School and is studying business and marketing at TSUM. She has studied dance since she was five years of age, she models and teaches dance and modeling. Robinson hopes to have her own dance company one day. "She'll be a great asset as coach for us this year." Ikehara said.
The Montgomery Maulers season begins March 18 with the first home game at Garrett Coliseum on March 25. The Red Hots perform at every home game and make many appearances around the community. For information regarding personal appearances contact Sandra Bedgood at the Maulers office 334-277-1881.
