
Red Bulls Trio Called up for International Duty

SECAUCUS, NJ (Nov. 10, 2010) - New York Red Bulls midfielder Dane Richards, defender Roy Miller, and goalkeeper Bouna Coundoul were called up by their respective national teams for matches taking place on Nov. 17.
Richards has been called up by Jamaica and will go head to head against his club teammate Miller and the Costa Rican National Team in a friendly in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Richards has 20 caps for the Jamaican National Team and has scored twice. This past season with the Red Bulls, Richards appeared in 25 matches and scored a career high five goals to go along with three assists. Miller has appeared 17 times for his country. In his first season with the Red Bulls, Miller, who signed with New York from Norwegian Premier League side, Rosenborg, on Jan. 8, 2010, made 25 appearances, starting 21 games and registering two assists.
Coundoul, who enjoyed his best season as a professional in 2010 with the Red Bulls, was called into the Senegalese National Team for its friendly against Gabon in Paris, France. In 2010, Coundoul started in 27 matches, and registered a career-best 1.04 goals against average. His 11 shutouts set a Red Bulls single season franchise high and was also a career best. Coundoul has earned four caps for Senegal.
