
Red Bulls Tim Cahill and Roy Miller Called up for International Duty

HARRISON, NJ (March 15, 2013) - New York Red Bulls midfielder Tim Cahill and defender Roy Miller were called up by their respective national teams for upcoming 2014 FIFA World Cup Qualifying Matches. As a result, both players will not be available for selection for New York's March 23 clash against the Montreal Impact at Olympic Stadium at 4:30 PM ET.
Cahill was called up for Australia's qualifier against Oman on March 26 in Sydney, Australia. Looking to earn his 61st cap for his country, Cahill started in New York's two matches this season. After joining the Red Bulls during the 2012 season, Cahill started in 12 regular season matches and two postseason games, notching a goal and three assists. Australia is currently in a three-way tie for second place in Group B in Asian World Cup Qualifying with 5 points.
Miller has tallied 36 caps for Costa Rica and will join the Ticos for their qualifiers versus the United States on March 22 at Dick's Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, CO and Jamaica on March 26 in San Jose, Costa Rica. A member of the Red Bulls since 2010, Miller has started in both of New York's two regular season matches this year. Costa Rica currently has one point in CONCACAF Qualifying following a 2-2 opening tie at Panama on Feb. 6, 2013.
