Red Bulls - Atlanta United November 3 Match Moved Back to MSG Networks
October 28, 2021 - Major League Soccer (MLS)
New York Red Bulls News Release
HARRISON, N.J. - The New York Red Bulls home regular-season finale match against Atlanta United FC has been moved back to MSG Networks from FS1 due to a potential conflict with Game 7 of the World Series between the Atlanta Braves and the Houston Astros, which is scheduled to be played on November 3. Kickoff will remain at 7:30 p.m. ET. Both teams are fighting to solidify a position in the Audi 2021 MLS Cup Playoffs.
The Red Bulls and Atlanta currently stand at 43 and 46 points, respectively, with Atlanta in sixth and New York in eighth. In the revamped MLS Cup Playoff format, the fourth-place team will host a home playoff match in the single-elimination bracket. Atlanta just one point and New York four points back of fourth place.
New York is 6-1-2 in their last nine and have allowed just four goals during the stretch. The Red Bulls are looking to secure a 12th consecutive postseason appearance. Their 11-straight playoff appearance streak is the longest streak of any New York metro area sports team, and is the second longest active streak in Major League Soccer.
