
Real Salt Lake to Sponsor 9/11 Memorial in Partnership with Utah Healing Fields

SANDY, Utah - Real Salt Lake is set to sponsor the One Light, One Life Luminaria Memorial on Friday, September 10th as part of the 2021 Utah Healing Field, honoring and remembering the victims on the 20th anniversary of September 11, 2001. The memorial begins at 6:30 p.m. and will end around 8:00 p.m. MT.
Real Salt Lake employees and team mascot, Leo the Lion, will be lighting the 3,000 luminaries set by each flag to light up the field. The tribute represents light through darkness, offering hope and healing to friends and families who lost loved ones that day.
Utah Healing Field hosts an annual event for individuals from around Utah to come together and remember those who were lost on September 11, 2001, with this year's event coming on the 20th anniversary of the attacks. The 3,000-flag display will be open to the public beginning September 9 and culminates with a special patriotic performance by the Utah Symphony and a US Air Force flyover at 7:00 p.m. MT on September 11.
