Real Salt Lake to Host Canyons School District Night at May 17

SANDY, Utah (Thursday, April 10, 2014) - Real Salt Lake has announced that it has partnered with Canyons School District for Leo's Paws for the Cause Night at RSL's home match against Colorado Rapids on Saturday, May 17. The Rocky Mountain rival match kicks off at 7:30 p.m. MT at Rio Tinto Stadium.

In an effort to recognize excellence in education in the greater Salt Lake area, Real Salt Lake will recognize 46 teachers who have all earned Teacher of the Year accolades at their respective Canyons District School at halftime. Each teacher will receive two complimentary Real Salt Lake tickets to go along with the recognition.

Real Salt Lake has also teamed up with Canyons School District to help support fundraising efforts for the Canyons Education Foundation. A portion of the ticket sales from the May 17 match will be donated to the foundation. Five dollars from very ticket bought using a Canyons School District promotional code will be donated. Information on how to purchase tickets can be found at www.canyonsdistrict.org/idol. Donation stations will also be set up at the gates of Rio Tinto Stadium and at a booth at RSL's Carnival Real on game day.
