Real Salt Lake Loans Jaziel Orozco to Larne FC in Northern Ireland

HERRIMAN, Utah - Real Salt Lake announced today that it has agreed to loan defender Jaziel Orozco to Larne FC in Northern Ireland through the end of their 2023/24 campaign, following the near-simultaneous termination of his Santos Laguna (Mexico) loan executed this February. RSL reserves the right to terminate the loan as necessary.

RSL's 30th homegrown signing, Orozco recently celebrated his 19th birthday, the dual youth international having logged 315 minutes last season with the Claret-and-Cobalt. Orozco appeared in 10 games this Spring for Santos Laguna's U20s, often donning the Captain's armband. Orozco's main contributions in 2022 were with the club's MLS NEXT Pro affiliate, Real Monarchs, making 39 appearances and earning team Defender of the Year honors.

Born in Juarez, Mexico but raised in El Paso, Texas, the central defender / holding midfielder is eligible to represent the United States and Mexico. He's previously participated with both national team youth systems.
