Interim Head Coach Jamison Olave will lead his side at its Herriman home where the team boasts a 12-1-2 record this season as the team prepares for its run for the 2018 USL Cup.
Fans can purchase two tickets to Saturday's match and two refillable Real Monarchs mugs for just $20 by going to RealMonarchs.com/promo and using code: TACOS at checkout. "Dollar Taco Night" also highlights gameday festivities at family friendly prices in Herriman as $1 tacos will be served prior to kick off and throughout the entirety of the match.
The Monarchs are coming off the back of a 1-6 loss at Western Conference foes LA Galaxy II last Saturday, its worst loss in club history. Despite the loss, the Monarchs booked its place in the 2018 USL Cup Playoffs, courtesy of San Antonio dropping points to Saint Louis earlier the same evening. Scoring the lone goal for the Monarchs in the loss to Los Dos was FW Chandler Hoffman who extended his lead atop the Monarchs scoring chart with 12 goals on the year.
The Monarchs and Switchbacks FC have met on one previous occasion in 2018, a 0-1 loss for the Monarchs at Weidner Field in Colorado Springs, a match that saw the Utah side concede an 88th minute goal from Saeed Robinson. The Monarchs currently hold a 3-1-1 record all-time at home against Colorado Springs with Saturday's match being the first time Switchbacks FC have visited Zions Bank Stadium.
