Real Monarchs News Release
HERRIMAN, Utah - Real Monarchs (6-12-3, 21 points, 12th in West) are set to host North Texas SC (6-10-6, 25 points, 11th in West) at Zions Bank Stadium on Saturday, August 11th with kickoff set for 8:00 p.m. MT. On the heels of a dramatic 1-1 draw at home with San Jose Earthquakes II where 16-year-old forward Zavier Gozo recorded his first professional goal, Real Monarchs will look to earn its second-consecutive result at Zions Bank Stadium.
The two sides previously met on April 21 of this year where Real Monarchs earned a 1-0 stoppage-time win over North Texas at Choctaw Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Midfielder Moses Nyeman scored a rocket of a goal off a free kick from deep outside the 18-yard-box in the fifth minute of stoppage time to secure the victory, marking the team's second-consecutive road win. Meanwhile, the defender and RSL Homegrown goalkeeper Gavin Beavers made one save to preserve the shutout.
Up Next: Real Monarchs head back on the road to face LA Galaxy II at Dignity Health Sports Park with kickoff set for 8:30 p.m. MT. If viewing matches remotely, Real Monarchs games can be streamed either via Apple TV's MLS Season Pass or through https://www.mlsnextpro.com.
