Rochester RazorSharks News Release
Rochester's professional basketball team hosts up to 75 children ages 6 to 16 at a free clinic at the Blue Cross Arena Tuesday morning. The Boys and Girls Club of Rochester helped select the participants through an essay contest on the importance of school.
MVP Health Care and Staples co-sponsor the event which is free for the participants. The entire Rochester RazorShark team as well as Coach Rod Baker will help instruct. The clinic runs 9:00-11:30am.
The clinic presents an opportunity to connect with a cross-section of local kids during the Presidents' Day vacation week as they interact with some of Rochester's finest professional athletes.
The RazorSharks work closely with the Boys and Girls Club, the area YMCAs, and within the past couple of weeks, have participated in the 'Hoops for Heart' program with the American Heart Association, 'Don't Foul Out' in conjunction with Bryant and Stratton College, and 'Gilda's Walk for Wellness' to benefit the cancer support programs at Gilda's Club.
