Corpus Christi, Texas â A holiday weekend is right around the corner and the Corpus Christi Rayz are celebrating with their city. On Saturday, July 3rd, the Rayz Dance Team will be assisting the Coastal Bend Blood Center with their "Blood Drive" at Buffalo Wild Wings. Then Sunday, July 4th, the Rayz Dance Team and Sugar Ray will be part of the 2004 Independence Day Parade on Shoreline Dr. Come celebrate America's anniversary and join the Rayz for the weekend of festivities.
Saturday, July 3rd, at 1:00 pm, the Rayz will be at Buffalo Wild Wings at 2001 SPID, just West of the Crosstown Expressway. The Dance Team will be signing autographs and handing out Rayz gifts along with CBBC hats. The CBBC hosts local Blood Drives throughout Corpus Christi in mobile locations while trying to help the city remain healthy through blood donations.
On Sunday, the Rayz will appear in the 4th of July Independence Day Parade, celebrating the "Stars and Stripes" of freedom. The Parade will begin at 6:00 pm at the corner of Palo Alto and Shoreline Dr. and follow the coast down to the Memorial Coliseum. Follow the Dance Team and the mascot, Sugar Ray, the entire route of the parade as they will be aboard a Champion Toyota Truck, courtesy of Louis Benavides and representing Brandon Gonzalez and Spymaster's.
The Corpus Christi Rayz are in preparation for their seventh professional hockey season in Corpus Christi. Make plans to be a part of all the excitement as the Rayz bring a new look to Corpus Christi for the 2004-05 CHL season. Season tickets and corporate packages are currently available.
