
Rayz close office as theu prepare for Rita

The Corpus Christi Rayz announced that they will be closing their office on Wednesday afternoon, due to Hurricane Rita's expected arrival on the Gulf Coast this weekend. The offices will remain closed for the rest of the week The Rayz are planning to re-open their office on Monday, September 26th if the area is deemed safe by Corpus Christi city officials. The Corpus Christi Rayz wish all residents along the coast a safe weekend, and remind everyone to please take the proper steps to ensure their safety before the storm arrives. The Corpus Christi Rayz will begin their eighth consecutive season in the Coastal Bend on Friday, October 21st in Austin. The Rayz home opener will be Saturday, October 22nd at 7:35pm vs. division rivals, the Austin Ice Bats. Last season Corpus Christi broke a franchise attendance record, welcoming more than 123,000 fans in their first season at the American Bank Center.
