Stockton Heat News Release

Bakersfield, Calif. - Kenny Agostino put the Stockton Heat on the board first with a beautiful breakaway shot that beat the goaltender, but the Heat could not contain the Bakersfield Condors after that and eventually fall to Bakersfield 7-3 at Rabobank Arena Tuesday night. Agostino's goal gives him at least one point in back-to-back games and he also has points in five of his last six games. Mason Raymond also scored for the Heat, marking his first goal and first multi-point effort with Stockton since being assigned by the Calgary Flames three games ago. QUOTES

"It's hard to look at that and be positive when you get beat the way we did tonight. I thought we played pretty well in the first ten minutes, but we kind of had the wheels fall off after that. Our power play had some good looks, but we need to produce and put up better numbers than we did. Personally it's nice to contribute, but when you get beat like that it's tough to swallow." - Mason Raymond on scoring his first goal with the Heat.

"We'll look at some video, but I think a big part of tonight was just our effort. We have to compete better than we did - we weren't good enough. We have to shake this one off and play some better hockey at home this weekend." - Raymond on moving on from this loss.
