VISALIA--The Rawhide's 65th anniversary celebration banquet on January 19th continues to garner intense local excitement, as the event saw its last ticket snapped up yesterday.
Tommy Lasordawill headline the night as keynote speaker. Fellow Hall of Famer Doug Harvey will also be present, along with former Oakland A's broadcaster Monte Moore.
Gar Ryness, who has become a YouTube sensation as "Batting Stance Guy," will perform before Lasorda's speech. Ryness' impressions of Major Leaguers have appeared on Late Show with David Letterman, ESPN's Baseball Tonight, and multiple team pregame shows. He has recently signed an agreement to make regular appearances with Fox Sports Net.
Also joining the fun will be Arizona Diamondbacks Player Development Executive Quinton McCracken, a 12-year Major League veteran and outfielder with the Visalia ballclub in 1993 (then known as the Central Valley Rockies).
