Rattlers To Tackle Prescription Drug Problem In Arizona

PHOENIX - The playoff-bound Arizona Rattlers are partnering with the Maricopa County Attorney's Office in a campaign to get prescription drugs off of the street.
Prior to the final game of the regular season, June 21 2008, against the Utah Blaze, the Rattlers will host a prescription drug drive. The event will be held on the plaza of U.S. Airways Center starting at 5:00pm and will continue until the start of the game. The team will be giving away free 2008 playoff tickets to those that participate.
Today's teenagers are turning away from street drugs and using prescription medications to get high. This is a deadly new trend. Don't be your kid's dealer.... Bring your unused prescription medications to the Drug Free AZ prescription drug drive, before the Rattler's game on Saturday June 21st. The County Attorney's office and local law enforcement will ensure these drugs are properly disposed of, and you will receive two tickets for the Rattlers playoffs this year!

Rattlers Managing Partner Brett Bouchy will be appearing on the 98 FM KUPD morning show with Maricopa County Attorney Andrew Thomas to discuss the campaign.
The 2008 Arizona Rattlers guaranteed a trip to the playoffs for its season ticket holders, and have come through on that promise. The Rattlers come home this week to take on the Colorado Crush on Monday, June 16 on Russell Athletic ESPN Monday Night. Kickoff is slated for 7:00pm PT on ESPN2 and ESPN2 HD. The game will also feature a post-game concert by HAWK NELSON.
