Rattlers to face familiar foes Saturday

Arizona Rattlers News Release
PHOENIX - A big weekend looms ahead for the Arizona Rattlers (0-1) as Danny White leads the Utah Blaze (1-0) into the U.S. Airways Center this Saturday night. White is easily one of the more recognizable former athletes in the state, having been the Rattlers head coach during the team's first 13 seasons in addition to playing at Arizona State and Mesa's Westwood High School.
White won't be the only familiar face on the Blaze bench as all-time Rattlers great Hunkie Cooper serves under White as the team's offensive coordinator. The connections between the two clubs aren't limited to coaches as former Rattlers Orshawante Bryant, Siaha Burley, Travis Cole, Joe Germaine and Clarence Lawson are on the Utah roster.
Though these familiar faces help fuel this budding division rivalry, the on-field action cannot be overlooked. The two clubs met three times last season with Arizona winning each time - including a 57-34 first-round playoff victory - so the Blaze will be seeking their first win against the black, copper and teal.
