
Rattlers Retain OL Morris

Phoenix, Ariz. - The five time world champion Arizona Rattlers were assigned offensive lineman Darius Morris for the 2016 Arena Football League (AFL) season on Wednesday. This will be his second season with the Rattlers and in the AFL.
Before he joined the Rattlers, Morris was signed by the National Football League's (NFL) Houston Texans in 2011. He also was part of the NFL's Dallas Cowboys in 2014.
The 6-foot-5, 310-pound Morris attended Temple University, where he served as the team captain for 9 games his senior season, and earned first-team All-Mid-American Conference honors. Morris also earned first team honors in 2009, and was also named the team's Most Valuable Player.
The Long Branch, New Jersey native was a multi-sport athlete at Long Branch High School, where along with football; he also was the starting center for the school's basketball team.
