Rattlers Prepare for Scrimmage

PHOENIX - The Arizona Rattlers wrapped up their eighth day of training camp yesterday as they get ready to travel to Las Vegas to take on the Gladiators in a scrimmage on Monday, January 16 at 3 p.m.

After a day off on Thursday, the team practiced twice on Friday and once on Saturday. Their roster, which currently has 37 players, will have to be cut down to 27 when training camp concludes next week.

"This scrimmage will be a good indicator on how well guys have come along," said Rattler head coach Gene Nudo. "Hopefully we can end this week without any injuries and get ready for Los Angeles."

CAMP NOTES

The team signed OL/DL Ethan Banning and DS Joe Todd. OL/DL Steve Warren remains on physically unable to perform and WR/DB Corey Johnson is on injured reserve.

All practices will be held at Veterans Memorial Coliseum.

The Rattlers will kick off their 15th season in the 20-year-old Arena Football League on Sunday, January 29 on the road against the Los Angeles Avengers. The game is set to kick off at 1:00 p.m. and will be televised on NBC. Nine game ticket packages can be purchased by calling 602-514-TDTD.
