LOS ANGELES - Sonny Cumbie passed for 254 yards and five touchdowns as the Los Angeles Avengers (3-2) shutdown the Arizona Rattlers (1-5) 64-45 Friday night at the Staples Center. Cumbie connected with receiver Kevin Ingram for 130 yards and a pair of scores and with Rob Turner for 99 yards and two touchdowns.

Arizona's Jeremiah Pope led all receivers in the game with 138 yards receiving and two scores, while Trandon Harvey had a game-high three touchdowns. Sherdrick Bonner was 22-for-37 for 303 yards, five scores and an interception.

The Rattlers led 38-37 entering the fourth quarter, but were outscored 27-7 in the final stanza.
