Arizona Rattlers Signee, Defensive Lineman Charles "Chucky" Hunter

Phoenix, Ariz. - The five time world champion Arizona Rattlers were assigned defensive lineman Charles "Chucky" Hunter for the 2016 Arena Football League (AFL) season on Monday. This will be his first season with the Rattlers and in the AFL.

Prior to joining the Rattlers, Hunter briefly spent time with the National Football League's (NFL) Dallas Cowboys in 2015.

The 6-foot, 300-pound Hunter attended Texas Christian University, where he earned second team All-Big 12 honors his sophomore, junior, and senior seasons. His senior year he had 44 tackles and 9.5 tackles for loss, which was his career best. He earned his degree in three and a half years.

The West Monroe, Louisiana native was a 5A first-team All-State selection and named Louisiana's Outstanding Defensive Player of the Year playing for West Monroe High School. He was also the 5A District 1 Defensive Most Valuable Player.
