DES MOINES - The Iowa Barnstormers quarterback J.J. Raterink has been nominated the Arena Football League's Most Valuable Player for Week 14, the League announced today.

Raterink (6-2, 210, Wyoming) led an outstanding game last Saturday night versus the Tampa Bay Storm while breaking Iowa Barnstormers franchise records. Completing 34 passes out of 56 attempts, Raterink surpassed his previous single-game franchise record for passing attempts (49). His third start for the Barnstormers this season, the quarterback collected six touchdown passes and did not allow for any interceptions. His 398 passing yards broke the team's record for single-game passing yards, previously set by Brad Banks in 2011 (397).
