Wes Jaillet's wild pitch in the 8th inning scored Mark Walker to give Cook County a 4-3 lead and victory over the Rascals on Tuesday night from Hawkinson Ford Field in Crestwood, Illinois.
The Rascals trailed 3-1, but a 2-run double from Tony Caracciolo tied the ballgame until the bottom of the 8th inning.
Mike Rhue earned a no-decision after pitching 6 2/3 solid innings with 8 strikeouts.
The Rascals will play game 2 of the series on Wednesday afternoon at 12:05pm. You can hear the action at 104.5 FM on the Rascals Baseball Network.
